Optical Metrology

LINE

Our approach to metrology is custom tailored to the specific needs of each customer.

Syntec Optics is a leading provider of optics assemblies, electronics assemblies, optomechanics assemblies, and custom optics components. Our vertically integrated in-house services ensure our customers of high precision and accuracy. We test the components as per customer requirement specifications, whether it is diamond-turned optics, glass-molded optics, or plastic molded optics. Our optical metrology services allow our customers to achieve the desired performance from their optical systems.

In today’s global market, quality is at the forefront of a superior product. Syntec Optics takes pride in the optics and optical components we create. This commitment has been at the core of our company for over 35 years. We produce precision optics and optomechanics systems used in several products used in sectors from Medical to Security/Defense. Our custom optical metrology approach to quality makes Syntec Optics a real partner in our customers’ success.

Recognizing the importance of quality assurance, Syntec Optics has set up reliable processes to actuate performance tests and dimensional measurements. Our experienced and highly-skilled optical metrology team works with our customers to understand critical performance metrics like surface accuracy, surface roughness, and birefringence. The team then lays out a plan such as – what kind of features to measure, the number of samples to test, and the frequency of testing. Our highly-sophisticated optical metrology equipment allows us to execute the quality plan efficiently and effectively. During production, depending on the manufacturing process, numerical methods are used to do the math, e.g., to calculate the insert recut dimensions for injection molded parts. A continuous feedback-loop is in place for avoiding manufacturing defects.

By systematically following and upgrading our proven internal system, we ensure delivery of “Zero Defect” precision optical and optomechanics components made exactly to customer standards, using the industry’s tightest tolerances. Syntec Optics is a crucial player in the optical metrology market. Optics metrology is critical to our Quality Department in delivering the best quality product to our customers. Here is a look at our impressive portfolio of leading-edge optical metrology equipment.
