It is currently exploring the face recognition market using Time of Flight modality. In mid-range detection, Syntec is supporting leading customers in the automotive industry. It has offered a technological solution to couple light into a photonic integrated circuit from the LiDAR, off-chip optics components, and optomechanical housing for low size, weight, power, and cost considerations. Syntec has pursued opportunities beyond LiDAR imaging, extending to integrated photonics for medical sensing. The company is a Tier 3 member of AIM Photonics in upstate New York, where it is providing solutions on a project concerning disposable assays.
