Plastic Optics Colonoscopy

Syntec Optics has created optical and opaque components used in colonoscopy procedures. These lenses are used to examine the large bowel and the distal part of the small bowel with a camera on a flexible tube passed through the anus. It provides a way to diagnose visually and allows biopsy or removal of suspected colorectal cancer. A colonoscopy helps in removing polyps. These polyps can be studied with the aid of a microscope.
