Ultem Optics Barrel

Wordingham manufactures Ultem optics barrel components made out of 20% glass-filled Ultem. There were 2 distinct challenges we had to overcome two distinct challenges to manufacture these in production volumes successfully. The first challenge was the abrasive nature of the material. Wordingham Technologies can maintain quality while keeping production prices in line with customer expectations. The second challenge was holding the tight tolerance requirements in plastic at production volumes. Our customer has been very happy with the result.
